Hours: 9:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded Junior Litigation Associate to join their International & Group Claims team. This role offers excellent exposure to complex and high-value disputes, including group litigation and class actions brought against large multinational companies. The successful candidate will support senior lawyers, assist in case strategy, and develop their litigation skills within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in investigating and running cases from pre-action to trial and enforcement.
  • Represent clients in consumer, commercial, and group litigation matters before the High Court and/or Competition Appeal Tribunal.
  • Gather client instructions, analyse evidence, and provide preliminary advice on liability, quantum, funding and risk.
  • Draft and review pleadings, witness statements, expert instructions and settlement documentation.
  • Liaise with counsel, experts, and other external professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records on case management systems.
  • Support supervision of junior team members and paralegals as required.
  • Contribute to business development, research, and team initiatives.

Person Specification

  • Qualified Solicitor (1–3 PQE) with strong academic background (2:1 minimum).
  • Experience in commercial litigation, group claims, consumer matters, or competition/antitrust issues.
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyse complex legal and factual issues.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and case management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Exposure to group litigation, environmental claims, consumer law or human rights in a class action context.
  • Experience supervising junior team members.
