Job title: Litigation Lawyer - Public Rights Of Way (PROW) - Full time and Part-time available. Reference: Devon 5276529. Pay rate: £42.67 per hour PAYE. Contract type: Temporary, anticipated 3 months. Working arrangement: Remote working.
The role
A local council Litigation and Planning team is seeking an experienced local government lawyer with strong highways and PROW experience, as well as general litigation experience. You will support the local Council and also support a National Park authority. You will manage a varied caseload focused on highways and PROW, but also including civil and criminal litigation. You may provide supervision to junior members of the team. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to learn new areas of law to provide timely legal advice.
What the client is looking for
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (England & Wales), with a current practising certificate.
- Strong highways and PROW (public rights of way) experience as well as general litigation experience.
- Previous Local Government experience is essential.
