Overview

This is a fixed term contract (6 months initially, immediate start) for 22.5 hours per week (not inclusive of lunch breaks). The role is predominantly remote and suitable for applicants nationwide, with travel to Onebright offices in York, London and other UK locations for team development days and events (approximately 2-3 days during the fixed term). Occasional travel is reimbursed through expenses. This role may appear with a location in the advert which is our head office.

As a HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist, you will supervise and support the assessment and interventions provided by Assistant Psychologists across various areas of Onebright’s delivery of services. You will also hold a small caseload and provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to clients through our Adult Psychological Therapies team. You will work with an articulate and motivated client group to proactively support mental health improvements. Our practitioners collaborate with clients to achieve strong treatment outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight of work undertaken by Assistant Psychologists who are under your supervision.
  • Place the client at the centre of the service and deliver evidence-based treatments as indicated by NICE (CBT), and EMDR if trained to part 2.
  • Treat clients with subclinical to mild/moderate anxiety and depression presentations and apply CBT principles to other mental health issues where appropriate.
  • Demonstrate integrity and compassion within our ED&I culture, in line with statutory guidance and Onebright policies.

What We Need From You

  • Post-graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
  • Minimum of five years’ mental health experience in public/private healthcare, with at least two years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience supervising Assistant Psychologists and/or qualified mental health professionals.
  • Have provided a minimum of 80 hours of clinical supervision to others over the past two years as part of clinical practice.

Desirable

  • Specialist clinical supervision training.
  • Registration on the BPS Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors and/or BABCP Supervisor accreditation.
  • Postgraduate training in CBT; accreditation as CBT Practitioner.
