About The Role
Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable, low-carbon electricity.
The Civil Works Alliance involves Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics, and Laing O’Rourke. We are combining our expertise to deliver this complex infrastructure project.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the ENW & EW Logistics manager, the ENW logistics engineer will be involved in the logistics requirements and processes for the construction of the Enabling Works portion of Sizewell C. This includes planning logistics across multiple sites, such as:
- Material Bulk Import Facility (MBIF)
- Beach Landing Facility jetty (BLF)
- Sea Defence constructions
- Cut-Off Wall
- Enabling works for future Civil Works (access roads, crossings, drain diversions)
Who we're looking for
- Ability to communicate requirements, objectives, and procedures clearly to ensure safety and compliance
- Experience working with multiple interest groups to develop operational and technical solutions
- Understanding of logistics processes in large-scale construction projects (desirable)
- Experience in tunnel segmental or precast elements projects in the UK (desirable)
- Experience in rail and/or port logistics, managing hauliers and suppliers
- Proactive approach to project, financial, and change management
- Strong presentation, influencing, and organizational skills
