Overview
Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership invites applications for Specialist Pharmacist Primary Care (Band 7). Full Time/Part Time opportunities (minimum 3 days) Monday to Friday. Opportunities are available within Aberdeenshire Marr cluster. The post holders will join a team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to support the pharmacotherapy service and promote quality, cost‑effective prescribing of medicines.
Post holders will support GP practices and community hospitals, covering all aspects of medicines management in line with local and national guidelines. Independent Prescriber training will be supported if not already achieved.
Responsibilities
- Join a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and be key to the ongoing provision of the pharmacotherapy service and promoting quality, cost‑effective prescribing of medicines.
- Support GP practices and community hospitals, covering all aspects of medicines management in line with local and national guidelines.
- Work across a wide area with onsite work in GP practices and/or remote working from an agreed base. Bases and areas of work will be discussed at interview.
- Full driving licence is essential.
Qualifications and experience
- Registered pharmacists with experience in Primary Care, medicines management and audit (advantage).
- Independent Prescriber training would be supported if not already achieved.
- Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills. Community or hospital pharmacy background acceptable.
Working arrangements
- Base locations discussed at interview; options include Inverurie, Ellon or alternate locations as available.
- Onsite working in GP practices and/or remote working from an agreed base.
- Full driving licence essential.
