About the role
Be part of this 'once in a generation' project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.
The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O'Rourke.

What you'll be doing
The purpose of the role of Senior Project Manager for galleries is related to the delivery of the Main Civil Works (MCW) Section.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for preconstruction and delivery activities, which refer to the planning, coordination, and administrative processes that take place before the actual construction phase begins. These activities are critical to ensuring that a construction project is well-prepared, compliant, and ready for execution.
This package consists of building the galleries below and in interfaces with many buildings of the nuclear plant (NI, CI-Bop and HS), and with backfill activities.
First galleries to be involved are:
- HCT and HPL (needed to start HCA building) on the east side of the plant,
- and HG ones (needed to start HR building and allow the HLC's position 2, Others will follow.
Galleries would be pre-cast or done on site, depending on chosen methods.
Who we're looking for
Essential
• Experience of leading a project team on large scale civil engineering projects.
• Experience of working transversely with other departments
Desirable
• Experience in nuclear projects or other heavily regulated environments.
• Experience leading a part of a large civil engineering projects.
• Experience managing NEC4 SC and ECC contracts
• Experience working within Joint Ventures/Alliances.
• UK major construction experience and associated training.
Essential
• Member of APM, PMI or similar Project Management bodies
• CSCS PQP Card and/or CSCS Black Managers Card.
Desirable
• SMSTS or IOSH Managing safety.
