Maintenance Excellence Deployment Manager - Overview

Location: Poland, United Kingdom or Netherlands

Are you passionate about performance, data, and creating real value through maintenance? As Maintenance Excellence Deployment Manager, you’ll play a key part in delivering Imperial Brands’ global asset care strategy - focusing on enhancing operational outcomes, improving reliability, and optimizing costs across our international factory network. This is a hands-on role in a small, collaborative team within the Global ManEx CI division. You’ll partner closely with factory teams to embed structured maintenance practices, define meaningful KPIs, and support technical teams in making informed, evidence-based choices. With production volumes under pressure in many markets, this role positions maintenance as a source of added value—not just a cost factor.

Responsibilities and scope are focused on deploying and sustaining Imperial’s global Maintenance Excellence framework, aligned with broader ManEx and IWS approaches, and promoting transparency and value creation through KPI development and effective maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment of Imperial’s global Maintenance Excellence framework across sites, aligned with broader ManEx and IWS approaches
  • Contribute to identifying and applying maintenance KPIs that promote transparency and value creation (e.g., proactive/reactive ratios, cost per PM, wrench time)
  • Work with factory teams to enhance preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance practices
  • Assist in the implementation of standard tools and processes (e.g., CMMS, Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, CIL, CL, BDE, etc.)
  • Facilitate workshops, maturity assessments, and improvement initiatives at site level
  • Collaborate with Technical Managers, Engineering teams, and CI teams to support measurable, long-lasting improvements

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in maintenance, reliability, or industrial engineering in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong data orientation - able to define, build, and interpret KPIs to support continuous enhancement
  • Comfortable engaging with Technical Managers, Engineers, and Shop-Floor teams
  • Familiarity with asset care concepts such as TPM, planning & scheduling, predictive maintenance, and problem-solving techniques
  • Experience with continuous improvement methods (e.g., IWS, WCM, Lean, Six Sigma) is appreciated
  • Comfortable working across multiple sites and cultures with a proactive, self-managed approach
