Essential Requirements

  • Diploma in Surveying, Property, or Maintenance Level 3.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS or CIOB).
  • Proven knowledge of the Social Housing Sector and relevant regulations.
  • Strong understanding of building construction, health & safety, and compliance standards.
  • Experience in managing contractors and day-to-day repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and manage small projects.
  • Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to join their team. You will be responsible for pre/post-inspection, reporting, and overseeing responsive repairs, void works, and cyclical repairs. You will manage contractors, ensuring works are completed to budget and quality standards while delivering excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections, technical surveys, and prepare reports.
  • Manage insurance claims and complex repair works.
  • Oversee the delivery of major and complex works, ensuring compliance with health & safety standards.
  • Coordinate void property works to minimise rental loss.
  • Monitor and control budgets, ensuring value for money and accurate spend tracking.
  • Maintain strong relationships with contractors, residents, and stakeholders.
