VNI Finance is delighted to partner with our AIM-listed client in Glasgow to recruit a newly created Management Accountant.

The role will report directly to the Head of Finance and will be part of a growing team in Glasgow.

This would suit a newly qualified or soon-to-be-qualified finance professional who is keen to move into a role that will allow for progression over a short period of time.

Role Overview

  • Support the FP&A function in preparing the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Assist with monthly budget-to-actual reporting, including key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards.
  • Support the development of financial models and analytical tools to improve forecasting and decision-making.
  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with IFRS, covering all UK and North American legal entities.
  • Assist with consolidation procedures, including elimination entries and group reporting.
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and intercompany balance reconciliations.
  • Support the preparation of stand-alone and consolidated financial statements with accompanying note disclosures.
  • Maintain audit-ready working papers and schedules in support of internal and external audit requirements.
  • Assist in responding to audit queries and preparing deliverables for annual external audits.
  • Support the drafting of technical accounting memoranda for complex transactions and accounting positions.
  • Provide general ledger data to support corporate income tax and sales tax compliance across all legal entities.

Candidate Background

  • Recently Qualified/Soon to be qualified Accountant
  • Strong technical understanding of IFRS and the ability to interpret legal agreements to assess accounting treatment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with BI tools, ERP systems, and financial modelling is a strong asset.

  • £40,000- £45,000
