Join to apply for the Management Accountant role at Advancing Analytics.

Location: Remote, must be based within the UK. Occasional visits to see the team in Exeter will be required.

Salary: Between £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience).

Interview process: 2-3 rounds including an initial chat, a technical assessment with the Hiring Lead, and an in-person team meeting.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain and improve financial models and reporting tools.
• Support project accounting and profitability tracing across consultancy projects.
• Collaborate with department heads to monitor expenditure and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and ROI.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Liaise with external accountants regarding all elements of compliance and statutory reporting.
• Contribute to finance system improvements and automation initiatives.
• Assist in payroll processes, expense submissions and supplier payments to maintain smooth financial operations.

Skills and qualifications

• Formal accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
• Solid business acumen and commercial mindset.
• Excellent communication skills across all stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software (preferably Xero).
