The role

This is a varied and client‑focused position, managing a diverse portfolio of SMEs. You'll be responsible for accounts, tax, and advisory work, while also playing a key role in supporting the team and driving service standards across the firm.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of clients, delivering high‑quality accounting and advisory services
  • Preparing and reviewing year‑end accounts under FRS102, FRS102A, and FRS105
  • Producing corporation tax computations and CT600s
  • Reviewing VAT returns
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of accountants and admin staff
  • Identifying growth opportunities and supporting business development
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal quality standards
  • Acting as the main point of contact for key clients

About you

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
  • Technically strong in UK GAAP, with experience across a range of SMEs
  • Able to manage full accounts production through to sign‑off
  • An excellent communicator and client relationship builder
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
  • Keen to support and develop junior members of the team
