Manufacturing Engineering Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Leader/Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) department within Airbus, in Broughton. The ME Team enables manufacturing operations by working closely with shopfloor teams to ensure minimal disruption, while providing innovative, value-adding and robust solutions such as safety improvements, risk reduction, tooling, equipment, quality improvements, damage reduction, time savers, and cost reduction amongst other things. As a key member of the team you would be accountable for delivering projects aimed at enabling and improving production processes while meeting safety, cost and quality requirements.

How You Will Contribute To The Team

  • Support the business by carrying out process mapping and requirement definition.
  • Ensure analysis, design, development, integration, functional and technical acceptance, and deployment activities are completed.
  • Ensure activities are completed in line with agreed budget, schedule and resources.
  • Provide Project Financial Management (cost-benefit analysis, planning, estimating, budgeting, funding, managing project expenses, and billing) on smaller projects with lead times under 52 weeks. This role will not oversee major asset introductions.
  • Create all required project documentation according to the agreed governance model.
  • Identify and manage risks relating to delivering the project to time, cost and quality, including interdependencies with other projects or services.

About You

  • Time served to at least HNC level or degree educated within Engineering.
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience.
  • Project management accreditation or use of PM tools would be an advantage.
  • Background within industrial/manufacturing/production project environment.
  • Stakeholder management and building customer relationships.
  • Familiarity with FMEA, SWOT analysis, 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis, and Flowcharts.
  • Experience in generating technical specifications based on operational requirements.
