We are recruiting for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join on a 12-month maternity cover contract, with an urgent start required. Based north of Aberdeen with hybrid working available, this role will lead strategic communications, internal engagement, PR, and brand management, delivering impactful campaigns that support business growth across global operations.

The Marketing and Communications Manager is a senior position within the organisation, responsible for delivering and overseeing a wide range of strategic communications activities that reports directly to the Group Head of Marketing.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Shaping and executing a unified marketing and communications approach that supports organisational objectives and strengthens brand presence.
  • Ensuring a consistent tone and messaging across all platforms, aligned with core values and technical positioning.
  • Driving internal engagement through initiatives such as newsletters, virtual forums, and intranet updates.
  • Acting as a reliable resource for internal communications and executive messaging.
  • Handling media outreach, public announcements, thought leadership content, and success stories.
  • Collaborating with external PR partners to boost visibility in industry-specific and technical media.
  • Overseeing the development of promotional materials—such as brochures, technical papers, presentations, and digital assets—to support sales and outreach efforts.
  • Designing and delivering multi-channel campaigns (including digital, print, and events) with measurable impact.
  • Leading crisis communication efforts, including crafting timely and appropriate external messaging.
  • Monitoring key indicators—such as media reach, audience engagement, and campaign return on investment—and sharing insights with senior stakeholders.

Applicants to this role require

  • Experience in B2B marketing and comms, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or technical industries.
  • Experience in marketing communications management role.
  • Demonstrated success in integrated comms including brand, digital and PR.
  • Strong strategic and project management skills, with experience working across multiple global stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and ability to use data to inform strategy.
