About Silicon Brighton

Silicon Brighton is a community-led initiative supporting the digital and tech sector across Brighton & Hove. With thousands of engaged members across our meetups, Slack, newsletters and events, we exist to help people connect, learn and thrive together.

We’re now looking for a part-time Marketing Specialist to help elevate our community content, communications, and event visibility - with a particular focus on supporting the growth of our flagship event, EVOLVE.

The Role

This is an exciting hands‑on marketing role for someone who loves community‑led brands, content creation and digital comms. You’ll help drive awareness, engagement and growth across all Silicon Brighton channels, while supporting the marketing push for EVOLVE [26].

Key responsibilities include:

Day‑to‑day marketing and community comms

• Creating and scheduling daily social media posts across our channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
• Creating monthly newsletters and supporting email communications.
• Updating and maintaining content across the Silicon Brighton website.
• Engaging with our community on Slack, responding to messages and helping maintain an active, welcoming environment.
• Supporting marketing and awareness for regular meetups and events, including community spotlights and event promotion.

EVOLVE Event Marketing

• Creating sponsor highlight posts and marketing activations.
• Supporting ticket sales strategy, comms and content.
