Omeda Studios is seeking a Material Technical Artist with strong artistic skills and technical know-how to create high-quality materials for our heroes and environments.

In this hybrid art-tech role, you’ll develop new materials and shaders in Unreal Engine, craft color palettes for our custom material instance system, and ensure everything aligns with the Paragon visual principles. You have a sharp eye for detail, a solid grasp of color theory, and a passion for both art and technical problem-solving.

In This Role You Will
Create and implement materials and shaders in Unreal Engine.
Develop and manage color palettes for our material instance system.
Translate artistic styles into functional shaders.
Collaborate with artists, tech artists, and engineers to optimize materials.
Prototype new material effects and document workflows.

What We’re Looking For
3+ years as a Material, Texture, or Technical Artist.
Strong Unreal Engine material/shader skills.
Solid understanding of color theory and artistic principles.
Experience with Substance Designer/Painter or similar tools in texture creation.
Familiarity with version control (e.g. Perforce).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
