As a Mathematician in our service development team in cybersecurity, you will play a crucial role in analyzing cryptographic algorithms and protocols with a focus on implementation security. Your work will involve developing and analyzing advanced physical attack methods such as side-channel attacks and fault injection attacks, as well as following the latest advancements in hardware security and post-quantum cryptography.
As part of project participation, you will evaluate and verify the security of products and systems, specializing in secure hardware components. Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with other cybersecurity experts in a highly communicative, structured team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the implementations of cryptographic algorithms and protocols from a security perspective.
- Investigate and develop capabilities of advanced attacks, including side-channel and fault injection attacks using tools from mathematics.
- Monitor and contribute to the evolving field of hardware security and post-quantum cryptography.
- Evaluate and verify the security of secure hardware components and systems, focusing on integrated circuits (SoCs, MCUs, MPUs, FPGAs).
- Collaborate effectively with team members, structuring your work clearly and communicating technical insights precisely.
- Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Strong foundation in mathematics and basic programming skills.
- Comfortable reading and writing technical and scientific literature.
- 2+ years of experience in a relevant area for the position.
- Higher academic qualifications (e.g. PhD) in a relevant subject. Of particular interest are cryptography and areas of mathematics including mathematical statistics, algebra and lattices.
- Previous work experience in research and development, cybersecurity, programming and hardware or software development.
- Passion for solving challenging problems and eagerness to learn and grow within cutting-edge cybersecurity domains.
- Strong team player who shares knowledge and supports peers to achieve the best results.
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
