Mechanical Design Engineer (Product Development) £45,000 - £50,000 + Hybrid + Progression + Training + Benefits Wembley

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar with a background knowledge of SolidWorks and looking for a step into Project Management? Are you seeking to work for a growing company that makes pioneering instruments for scientific research, offering routes to progress, the ability to work on a variety of fast-moving projects, and a hybrid working basis?

You will be part of a team that values precision, technical expertise, and continuous development. This varied role will see you responsible for the design and drawing of key products and components in both 2D and 3D using SolidWorks. You will complete new design concepts, focus on continuous improvement of existing products, and develop in project management aspects of the lifecycle, including bill of materials, costings, and NPI. This is a Monday to Friday, 37.5-hour week with one day a week working from home.

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar with a SolidWorks background who is looking for a new challenge by stepping into a project-based design role with a leading scientific company that makes a real difference to the industry and offers opportunities to progress.

The Role:

• Project Management of Existing and New Product Design
• Design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD of Products and Components
• Continuous Improvement
• BOMs, Costings, and Supplier Management

The Person:

• Mechanical Design Engineer or similar with a SolidWorks background
• Looking for a new challenge by running projects
• Commutable to Wembley
