We’re Hiring: Mechanical Estimator / Bid Manager

Location: Old Swan, Liverpool (option to work from our Leeds office)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

A&B Engineering is looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator / Bid Manager to join our growing team. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity within an expanding and dynamic company offering excellent career development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed mechanical estimates and bids
• Lead and manage the bid process from tender review to submission
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments
• Attend pre- and post-tender meetings
• Ensure bids meet technical and commercial requirements
• Maintain and update estimating tools, databases, and cost libraries

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator or Bid Manager in the M&E or construction industry
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and technical drawings
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and in a team
