Hemiko are recruiting for an Electrical Site Supervisor reporting to the Head of Internal Delivery.

Working with the electrical team, we are looking for NICEIC Qualified supervisor.

We fund, design, build, operates and maintain low carbon district energy networks and building energy systems. This work is for communities, towns, and cities. Some of our current projects include:

  • The design, installation, operating, and funding of a district heating system to serve 3,500 homes in Clapham as part of a major regeneration project.
  • The design, installation, and operation of a new city centre wide low carbon district heating system for the City of Cardiff.
  • The design, installation, and operation of a ground source heat pump system to provide heating and cooling to a new development of 300 homes a gym and office building in South London.
  • The design and installation of a heat network in a rural community in Cambridgeshire to replace oil boilers in 300 homes with centralised low carbon heat generation.
  • Developing detailed long-term decarbonisation plans for existing large scale district heating networks to allow them to transition from gas fired CHP led generation to low carbon generation.

The Role

The responsibilities of this Electrical Site Supervisor role include overseeing electrical work and site electricians, scoping work and ordering materials, issuing permits and ensuring electrical safety rules are followed.

Candidate

We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated, and positive in their outlook. The company is relatively small but with very fast growth trajectory over the coming 3 years and beyond. The candidate will be able to work as part of a functional commercial team and the project team(s) to which they are assigned and take ownership and fulfil their tasks to a high standard and on time.

The candidate will need to be comfortable communicating with team the electrical members, and colleagues on site. They will be personable and a good communicator.

Key responsibilities

  • Job scoping Visit sites before schemes start to measure up and order materials
  • Liaise with colleagues and supervisors on timeframe and labour requirement
  • cascade RAMS for jobs Collate site M&E drawings
  • Authorised person responsibilities,
  • Issue permits when required
  • Oversee electricians or electrical subcontractors,
  • issue commissioning engineers permits and assist with commissioning phase
  • Complete electrical site safety audits and electrical completion paperwork on Procore
  • Ensure safe working practices and electrical safety rules are followed by electricians on site
  • Complete red line drawings for as-builts when schemes are completed
  • Ensure NICEIC certificates are fully completed and issued to Qualified Supervisor for sign- off
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed as required
  • Completed permits and RAMS returned to electrical manager on a weekly basis via Procore
  • Ensure Procore online reporting on a daily basis with site issues or progression
  • Ensure all drawings are available and issued to site teams for commencement of work

Personal Specification

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of permit systems
  • Good understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
  • Experience of scoping jobs and ordering materials
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, panel drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Industrial M&E Knowledge Good literacy skills
  • 17th edition (Apprenticeship) qualified electrician
  • CSCS ECS card SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Proactive thinking with an enthusiastic character
  • Well organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Inspection and test 2394/2395 (2391)

  • Remuneration: Base £55,000 (depending on experience).
