Overview

Mechanical Project Manager required for an award-winning HVAC company with regional offices throughout the UK. The role is to support continued growth in the project division and to join the expanding Projects division.

Responsibilities

  • Managing projects from initial inception to handover, including site visits, surveys, designs, estimations and quotations.
  • Negotiate and purchase materials, supervise labour, commissioning, client training and O&M documentation.
  • Ensure that the project is delivered within budget and on time.
  • Lead and manage a team of at least 2 direct PAYE Installation Engineers plus additional sub-contractors.

Position Requirements

  • Experience delivering large-scale AHU, Chiller, VRV, VRF, Boiler and ventilation projects (minimum 5 years).
  • The role will be based out of the client's office in Kent; remote working is promoted, with an expectation of 50% home/office based and 50% site based.
  • Experience project managing AHUs, VRV/VRF, ducting, boiler and chiller replacements and upgrades.
  • Practical and hands-on experience is advantageous; technical mastery, strong communication skills and autonomy are equally important.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience with responsibility for running projects and managing a team of engineers who have reported directly to the candidate.
  • Computer literate, proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and MS Projects.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good attention to detail; contract negotiation.
  • Live in the Northern Home Counties (e.g., Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Northamptonshire, etc.).

Remuneration

  • Basic Salary £65,000 - £75,000 DOE.
  • Management Bonus Scheme.
  • £500 per month car allowance.
