Role Summary and Impact
As a senior member of the Wavemaker Content team – leading the response to briefs to provoke growth, with responsibility for strategic planning and delivery of Content Partnership solutions. The role requires collaboration with Wavemaker Studio, the client team, and other specialist teams across the Agency, and overseeing the delivery of multiple cross‑functional projects. Build excellent relationships with clients at the highest level and act as a trusted advisor to maximize partnership opportunities. Take a senior, commercially accountable role in the team with responsibility for first‑class creative planning and delivery, leading by example and developing team members. Have excellent knowledge of a range of content disciplines and a passion to continuously learn and apply new creative thinking to client solutions.
In This Role, You Will
- As a Content Director, AKA Media Partnerships Account Director, own the brief and work with senior team members to assemble the right team to respond to each brief.
- Understand the role of Wavemaker Content’s creative solutions and disciplines based on knowledge of Wavemaker OS and Positive Provocation.
- Lead the brief response team (drawing support from Content Leads as necessary) to generate and lead creative solutions.
- Inspire confidence in the right creative solution for clients and pitch these solutions in formal and informal environments, using a broad understanding of the media landscape.
Other Core Responsibilities Include
- Client Servicing – Build strong relationships with clients as a trusted advisor and ensure the team handles requests professionally, timely, and accurately.
- Planning and Delivery – Collaborate with wider Wavemaker teams to generate excellent content solutions and pitch these to clients successfully.
- Campaign Management & Performance – Manage projects, deliver scale campaigns, and mentor the team to do the same.
- Commercials – Understand WM content internal processes and commercial model; proactively generate income opportunities.
- Team – Manage Content Managers and Executives, inspiring delivery excellence and teamwork.
- Innovation & Collaboration – Maintain senior-level relationships with partners, stay informed on innovations to meet client needs.
- Technical Skills – Knowledge of media systems such as Media Explorer, Prisma, AURA, E-telmar, Techedge, ad-dazzle or equivalents.
