Introduction
- We would like to see experience of solving problems and thinking creatively in a project management setting.
- Independently managing a caseload of NEETs, ensuring a consistent and quality regular mentoring service to all, creating bespoke career pathway plans and supporting the young person towards their agreed outcomes.
- Providing participants with expert mentoring support to enhance employability skills and ensure outstanding and sustainable outcomes in relation to further education, employment and skills.
- To adhere to Adult Learning Lewisham’s positive commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunities for all users at all times.
Providing mentoring and employment support for NEET young people aged 16-24 across the borough, focusing on individually tailored support, building confidence, motivation, and personal development, helping young residents into employment, education, or training.

The successful candidate must be confident in their own abilities and have experience of providing IAG services and/or mentoring young people. Experience of planning and delivering play and/or youth activities which demonstrate positive impact on young people. Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to exercise initiative, accountability and act autonomously to meet the outcomes of the project as well as confident with data and analysis of information.
Location
Working primarily at our Brockley Rise Centre, London, SE23 1PR but the role also involves active engagement around the borough. There will also be requirements to work from other centres to deliver mentoring session and training.
Special conditions
- The job is subject to an Enhanced DBS check
- Willingness to undertake First Aid training
- This job is 1 year fixed term contract

Salary
£39,150 - £40,344 per annum (SO1).
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
