A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Metrology Engineer to join a leading international engineering group!
With no two days ever the same, this role offers the chance to work on large-scale global projects, providing genuine long-term progression and career development within a highly respected organisation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead dimensional control and inspection on high-value machining projects.
- Ensure work meets exacting standards and tolerances.
- Use advanced metrology tools, including laser trackers, for precision measurement and inspection.
- Provide technical reports and customer updates, including presentations.
- Support toolmaking and on-site machining teams where required.
- Expect significant overseas travel (assignments typically 2 days - 3 weeks; long hours may be required).
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Strong background in precision engineering, toolmaking or metrology.
- CAD experience (particularly for jigs, fixtures, and reverse engineering).
- Confidence in customer-facing situations, ideally with some sales or client liaison exposure.
- Experience from aerospace, high-value manufacturing or precision machining industries is highly desirable.
- Flexible, adaptable, and happy to travel extensively worldwide.
