We are seeking a Power BI Developer to join our team in Aberdeen. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision making across the business. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, design appropriate data models, and integrate data from multiple sources to deliver clear and actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Data Visualization: Design, build, and test interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models in platforms such as Azure Synapse to support effective analysis
- Data Integration: Extract, transform, and load data from various systems into the data platform
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and present insights in a clear and accessible format
- Continuous Development: Stay informed about new Power BI features and apply them to improve reporting capabilities
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and experience using Power BI Desktop
- Proficient in data modelling using Dataflows and Semantic Models, with solid skills in Power Query and DAX
- Experience working with Paginated Reports
- Familiarity with Power BI capacities, deployment pipelines, and publishing reports via Organisational Apps
- Ability to translate high-level reporting requirements into accurate and visually clear outputs
- Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification is preferred
