Overview

We are looking for an experienced and driven Mid to Senior Developer to join our growing team. You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining a range of business-critical applications, websites and system integrations. If you're passionate about writing clean, maintainable code and enjoy solving complex challenges, we'd love to hear from you. Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days WFH.

Responsibilities

  • Development of bespoke software and middleware solutions to support and grow core business operations.
  • Deliver high-quality, secure code using modern best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development environments.
  • Mentor junior team members, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, frameworks and emerging technologies.
  • Any other tasks deemed by the Company to be necessary for the successful completion of the role.
  • Lead discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders, designing solutions to solve key business challenges.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional PHP development experience.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID principles.
  • Solid knowledge of secure coding practices (e.g. OWASP).
  • Experience with modern PHP frameworks (preferably Laravel or Symfony).
  • Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL) and writing performant queries.
  • Comfortable working with Git, Composer and modern development workflows.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Nice to Have
    • Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
    • Experience writing automated tests (PHPUnit/PEST).
    • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.).
    • Experience with Docker and containerised development environments.
    • Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React or similar).
