Central Employment are working with a fast growing North East Search Marketing & Web Development Agency, as they look to recruit a talented Mid-Senior Shopify Developer.

1-2 days a week from their North East office

Mid-Senior Shopify Developer profile:

Reporting directly to the SLT, you’ll take ownership of all Shopify development work, while helping us shape and grow a brand-new department.

The role offers the chance to make a real impact, working with an ambitious agency that supports a broad range of clients from start-ups to established multi-million-pound brands.

You’ll work on a mix of projects, from ongoing Shopify maintenance to full website builds and re-platforming. Our design and UX specialists will support you, allowing you to focus on development, integrations and technical excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Shopify Developer, ideally agency-side
  • Experience with third-party integrations and APIs
  • Understanding of replatforming and migration best practices
  • Awareness of technical SEO principles (full SEO support in-house)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Clear communication skills with both clients and colleagues
  • Ambition to build and develop a future Shopify team

Responsibilities

  • Lead on Shopify development projects from start to finish
  • Maintain, optimise and improve existing client Shopify stores
  • Build and launch new Shopify websites
  • Manage system integrations such as HubSpot, Salesforce and fulfilment platforms
  • Support replatforming and migration projects
  • Collaborate with design, UX, SEO and Ads teams to deliver high-performing websites
  • Keep up to date with Shopify updates, apps and best practices
  • Provide technical recommendations and solutions to clients and colleagues
