Mixed Tax Manager or Senior Manager

Scotland

Full-Time (Hybrid)

Salary up to £55,000 + Benefits

I’m currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity with one of my clients – a progressive and highly respected accountancy firm. They're looking to welcome a Mixed Tax Manager or Senior Manager to their growing team.

This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys both corporate and personal tax work, and wants to be part of a friendly, forward-thinking firm that genuinely supports career development and work-life balance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing a broad portfolio of clients across corporate and personal tax – including entrepreneurial businesses, family-run companies, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Handling a mix of tax compliance and advisory work – no two days are the same.
  • Leading and reviewing the work of junior team members, offering support and mentorship.
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients and building long-term, trusted relationships.
  • Supporting senior leadership on planning and project-based work.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Join a collaborative and down-to-earth tax team that values your input.
  • Flexible and hybrid working options – whether you're based in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, or elsewhere in Scotland.
  • Clear and transparent path to more senior roles – including Director-level.
  • Interesting and varied work across industries – not just compliance-heavy.
  • A firm that genuinely invests in its people, both professionally and personally.

What my client is looking for:

  • CTA and/or ACA/ICAS qualified with experience in both personal and corporate tax.
  • Confident in managing your own portfolio and liaising with clients directly.
  • Strong communication skills, a team player, and someone who enjoys helping others grow.
  • A proactive mindset – someone who’s not afraid to get involved in wider firm initiatives.
