ML Operations Engineer

Within AXA Retail we're looking for a Machine Learning (ML) Operations Engineer or Senior ML Operations Engineer to facilitate high frequency, high quality and high accuracy rating changes to Python deployments for our business. The role will involve building frameworks, tools and APIs which allow us to scale out our Python deployment processes, a key element of our quote & buy architecture. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We also consider flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and operationalise Python rating engines as part of the ML Operations team.
  • Enable the P&A department to deliver value through seamless, efficient and controlled rating change routes.
  • Develop tools for the team and collaborating teams to increase our rating capability.

Qualifications

  • Expertise building data or software products with Python and Git.
  • Attitude of continuous improvement.
  • Effective collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Experience applying these skills in a fast-paced, business context.
  • Experience in a personal lines insurer or other regulated entity is a bonus.
