This is a full-time, fully remote role covering Yorkshire and surrounding regions. You will work with our team of service engineers across a large number of commercial clients in Yorkshire. A full UK driving licence is required.

This role supports the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance.

Hours & Location of Work:

Main location – this is a fully mobile role covering Yorkshire and surrounding regions

Regular hours of work – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm – 40 hour working week. Out-of-hours maintenance may be required, including early starts, late finishes and night work.

On Call – 24 hour on-call rota on a maximum 1 week in 4 schedule (Friday-Thursday).

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

  • City & Guilds 2360 / 2330 Parts 1, 2, & 3, JIB approved electrician, or NVQ Level 3 equivalent
  • City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing
  • IPAF & PASMA
  • Part P Electrical certificate
  • Working knowledge of BS7671, 18th Edition Electrical Installation Regulations & associated standards
  • Working knowledge of Building Regulations
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking all aspects of electrical installation, commissioning, fault finding, and maintenance
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with Thermatic’s PPM and task schedules
  • Providing accurate timesheet information within designated timeframes
  • Carrying out basic facilities maintenance tasks as required
  • Supporting team members, including acting as second-man where required
  • Participating in a 24-hour on-call rota
  • Attending team meetings or briefings as required
  • Supporting contract teams with meeting SLAs by attending client premises within the desired timeframe
  • Maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interaction with clients and customers
  • Assisting office-based staff with producing quotations by providing accurate information for extra works
  • Producing technical and situational reports as required
  • Escalating major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel within acceptable timeframes
  • Supporting the training and upskilling of junior service engineers
