Overview

The Customer Experience (CX) Team is the face of Capital on Tap’s product offering. We’re a fun and enthusiastic team focused on building elegant and accessible mobile and web platforms for our customers. Our mission is to make the lives of small business owners easier by rewarding them with Avios and cashback, simplifying the payment of business bills, or ensuring expenses sync with accounting software.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Mobile Engineer in the Customer Delight (CD) team, you’ll shape a complex product and deliver features for iOS and Android using Flutter, GCP, Azure, Kotlin, and Swift. You will work with designers and product managers from feature inception, own the delivery of products and features, and mentor the team to foster a best-in-class front-end engineering culture. You will also lead by example as a collaborative, customer-focused engineer in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build robust and scalable solutions using predominantly Flutter technologies
  • Own the SDLC from first line of code to production, monitoring, and continuous improvement
  • Analyze bottlenecks and efficiency gains, leveraging technologies (including AI) to address them
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and fellow Software Engineers
  • Build and maintain unit and integration tests; troubleshoot and adjust when bugs arise
  • Bridge the gap between technical language and business goals to keep everyone aligned
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in Flutter and Dart; strong understanding of the mobile ecosystem
  • Experience building and deploying Android and iOS apps; knowledge of CodeMagic or similar CI/CD platforms
  • Experience with native mobile development in Kotlin or Swift (ideally both)
  • Good testing practices (unit and integration)
  • A passion for learning new skills and technologies
  • A proactive, supportive, and collaborative team player
  • Databases: SQL Server, MongoDB, Firestore
  • CI/CD: CodeMagic

Interview

First stage: 30-minute intro and values call with Talent Partner (Video call). Second stage: 45-minute CV overview with Team Manager (Video call). Final stage: 90-minute technical assessment with two Technical Leads (Video call).
