Overview
Fabric Engineer to work within our Integral Cooling Technology Business Unit across the Midlands and UK (Northampton). Location: Midlands/South but expected to travel nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Spare Parts control, to support present and new customers
- Night blind fitting
- Evaporator fitting, both manufacturers and bespoke
- Full store removal
- Case moves for as per program of works
- Case refurbishment
- LED light works
- End wall supply and fitting
- Trim heaters
- Fans replacements
- Bumper replenishment
- Door handles
- Temporary cabinets
- Door seals
- Glazes
- Light diffusers and clips
- Manufacture and fitting of bespoke replacement panels and parts
- Waste Management
- Cabinet Hire support
- Energy Works
- Cabinet installation as per program of works
- Compliance: Ensure that all relevant company and legislative policies and best practices are adhered to and maintained at all times
- Inform the relevant Manager of non-conformances and ensure that corrective action is taken
- Carry out site specific Risk Assessments to ensure all safety procedures are taken into account and in place prior to works (these are to be sent back to branch on a monthly basis)
- Near miss reporting and accident logging, reported to the branch QSHE Co-ordinator
- Ensuring PPE is fit for purpose and worn at all times whilst carrying out the installation
- Keep all PAT testing of electrical equipment up to date; inform Branch QSHE Co-ordinator if renewal is due
- Carry out Van inspections for a minimum of twice a year; scheduling managed by the Branch QSHE Co-ordinator
- Calibration of gauges and equipment; keep certificates up to date and in date prior to use
- Keep Integral standard Risk Assessments and Task Procedures in the van with training certification copies
- Keep copies of all pressure test regulation and customer-specific pressure test details; include pressure test certificates
- Responsible for completing the pressure test certificate upon completion of testing and issuing to the branch weekly
- Ensure compliance with all procedures within remit and uphold Refrigeration industry codes and standards
- Comply with Integrals environmental policies and propose ideas for improving environmental efficiencies
- Adhere to Group H&S procedures with due regard for business constraints and efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role
- In-depth understanding of the end-to-end associated activities
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal), with strong influencing skills
- Proven track record of success
- Attention to detail with a focus on zero errors/defects
- Flexible and proactive, able to work on own initiative with energy, assertiveness and creativity
- Excellent team leading skills and strong organisational capability
- Commitment to collaboration and teamwork
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple projects and work under pressure
- Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
- CSCS Card an advantage (training provided if necessary)
- Full UK Driving License
- Proven history of working with a wide variety of customers
- Desire and ability to work in both retail and other environments
- Customer-focused approach
- Ability to deliver quality outcomes with attention to detail
- Effective communication with team members and customer representatives
- Ability to adapt quickly to change
- Willingness to work nationally (working away may be required)
- Computer literacy with experience of Microsoft and customer-specific IT systems
