Responsibilities

Maintain and repair the gas plant, including fabric and basic electrical tasks of buildings as required under contract. Ensure all PPM and reactive tasks are completed to legislative standards and all required paperwork is completed and submitted within timescales. Participate on the on‑call rota. Monitor and visit sub‑contractors to assess the standard of work and health and safety compliance. Issue appropriate permits, control small work and perform escort duties as required. Ensure all certifications are correctly completed and remedial works are clearly identified. Carry out planned preventative maintenance, complete appropriate paperwork and reports, and ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within required timescales. Maintain a full current driving licence. Demonstrate strong customer‑care focus, good communication skills and proactive approach. Anticipate, diagnose and repair faults. Complete essential paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines. Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment such as boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable). Strong knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices.
