Who You Are:
Geotab is seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist to manage and administer the day-to-day requirements of Geotab’s benefits documentation, payroll administration, and benefit programs for international locations. This role supports staff requests and administrative tasks during onboarding and offboarding. If you love technology and want to join an industry leader, we’d love to hear from you.
What You7ll Do
As a Senior Benefits Specialist, you will work with the benefits management team to deliver innovative, consistent, and cost-effective services that support and improve benefits administration while complying with all country regulatory and legal requirements. You will model high-quality customer service across channels, implement project tasks, manage day-to-day activities, and provide regular status updates to key partners to ensure on-time delivery. You will collaborate with Geotab’s Human Resources, Legal, and Finance teams and manage multiple timelines and priorities.
To succeed, you should be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to understand complex technical concepts. You will bring strong analytical and project management skills, identify needs, develop effective solutions, and drive projects to completion.
How You 27ll Make An Impact
- Administer core benefits offerings (health, dental, vision, pension, life and accidental insurance, disability, EAP, travel, workers’ comp, critical illness, and enhanced offerings like car leasing, meal vouchers, bike schemes, multi-sports card, and global discounts).
- Ensure accurate benefits enrollments and provide vendors with correct eligibility information.
- Administer leave of absence programs (sick leave, parental leave, personal and caregiver leave, military leave, etc.) and collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate pay and premiums while on leave; maintain compliance with leave laws.
- Recommend revisions to leave policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Work with internal teams on leave requests and disability paperwork.
- Communicate with employees about leave needs and required documentation and responsibilities.
- Respond to benefit inquiries from managers and employees regarding plan provisions, enrollments, and status changes.
What You ll Bring To This Role
- 5 to 8 years of experience in benefits, retirement, and leave administration, including at least 3 years focused on international benefits, particularly in European countries.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or related field is preferred.
- Fluency in English and at least one other European language (e.g., German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese).
- Strong knowledge of international payroll/benefits regulations governing employee benefits, retirement savings, and insurance programs.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities.
- Analytical skills with the ability to identify process improvements.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with HR, plan providers, vendors, brokers, and employees.
- Professional communication skills in person, email, and phone.
- Effective time management with multiple priorities.
- Technical comfort with software including Google Workspace.
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort in a flat organizational structure.
