Job Description

Reporting to the Network Operations Manager, the Multiskilled Main Layer with ELR will carry out tasks and activities necessary to ensure quality of services provided within the gas distribution network as directed.

Responsibilities:

1. Carry out work on the network as instructed by the Network Officer, including mains replacement, new service installations, district governor maintenance, dial before you dig, mains surveying, service disconnections, and general duties.
2. Support the Network Officer in responding to PREs and evaluating gas escapes.
3. Perform tasks on the gas distribution network as directed, including routine and non-routine maintenance.
4. Assist in hazard resolution and operational data collection.
5. Collaborate with the team on hazard solutions, investigate leaks, and provide accurate network drawings.
6. Ensure minimal customer disruption and work efficiently, coordinating with contractors and liaising on-site with the public and external agencies.
7. Participate in emergency call-out duty on a 1 in 4 days rotation.
