About Camden

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today, and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide on a better future for us all.

Camden Music

Camden Music is a vibrant, inclusive service committed to helping children and young people experience, enjoy, and learn music. We work in partnership with every school in the borough, including primary, secondary, and special schools, to ensure access to high-quality music education for all. Each year, thousands of students take part in our diverse programme, which includes instrumental and vocal tuition, Saturday music academies, and ensembles ranging from steel bands and choirs to rock bands and orchestras.

Our flagship event, the Camden Schools’ Music Festival at the Royal Albert Hall, brings together over 1,800 young musicians to celebrate creativity and achievement. We support access and equity through affordable instrument hire, subsidies, and bursaries, and we collaborate with schools, educators, and partners, including Camden Music Trust, to deliver innovative projects and professional development.

We believe in the power of music to inspire, connect, and transform. #WeMakeMusic
