Location: Home based – with some expectation of travel nationally where required.

Salary: £52,575.15 per annum

About the role

Skills for Care has an exciting opportunity for a National Culture and Diversity Lead to join our Culture and Diversity Team. The purpose of this role is to plan, organise, manage and ensure the successful delivery of specified programmes of work across all aspects of EDI. The focus of the team is a body of work on the Social Care Workforce Race Equality Standard (SC-WRES) Improvement Programme which is rolled out within local authorities and must be maintained, implemented and improved upon.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, manage and deliver specified programmes of work across all aspects of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI).
  • Contribute to programmes such as the SC-WRES Improvement Programme and ensure ongoing maintenance, implementation and improvement within local authorities and the wider sector.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the sector; engage confidently with care providers, local authorities and national stakeholders.
  • Lead on developing strategic EDI projects for the social care sector; demonstrate high levels of project management capability.

  • Flexible and dynamic social justice thinker with a high level of project management experience.
  • Ability to develop strategic EDI projects for the social care sector.
