Your Role
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a National Key Account Manager to join Greg and his team in this unique, project and account management role.
The role sits within our Clubs sector, managing and selling into national health club chains. Your mission will be to:
- Manage your assigned national accounts to grow revenues (multiple millions) and improve the P&Ls
- Lead and project manage major national projects, collaborating with numerous internal and international HQ departments to deliver exceptional project execution and customer experience
- Develop customer relationships by implementing a balanced contact matrix across each account
- Maximise and create sales opportunities within the assigned accounts
- Prospect new national accounts, aligned with our brand positioning
In this role you will be the 'face of Technogym', providing professional, industry-credible advice on our Total Wellness Solutions. In the commercial market we are premium and aspirational. Our salespeople are consultative and sell through value and story-telling, assured by our brand, quality, innovation and Total Wellness Solutions. Teamwork and relationships are key to delivery. Technogym salespeople are hungry, highly professional, industry credible, collaborative, develop and maintain strong relationships and manage a large portfolio of products, services and solution - of course underpinned by a passion for fitness, wellness and sports.
To be successful within the role you will have an exceptional ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, have strong business and financial acumen, and possess strong project management skills alongside high attention to detail. You will present with impact, appreciate the importance of structure and administration and be a true brand ambassador. The role is not as prospect focussed as our other sales roles as the account base consists of a high proportion of existing customers. It entails more business-partnering around the accounts’ strategy however you will still to look for opportunities for upsell and onboard new national accounts.
As role is national, applicants can be located across the UK where there are strong transport links. A high degree of travel should be expected, including overnight stays.

Your Impact
- Maximise annual revenues from assigned accounts for equipment, network and service in line with the annual budget and company seasonality.
- Pipeline and forecast management
- Project manage major re-design projects for national health club chains to ensure customer satisfaction at local and group level
- Improve the P&L on each account and debtor days
- Manage and develop accounts by building strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance sales and customer retention
- Working in adherence to Technogym's required sales methodology thus ensuring structured and thorough account management
- Recognise and follow up opportunities for up selling within assigned accounts
- Present regularly to decision makers and influencers to update and educate on new products and solutions available
- Identify consumer leads and sales through B2B2C opportunities and consumer networks
- Attend exhibitions, trade shows and industry events and follow up all opportunities to promote the brand and develop new business arising from these events
- Target new accounts for development and plan for existing accounts re-negotiation when agreements are due to expire
- Develop strong relationships across the internal Technogym team – marketing, sales support, logistics, after sales and accounts
- Be able to professionally advise on funding solutions to finance projects
- Keep up-to-date as a product and solutions expert
- Deal appropriately with customers concerns
- Adapt to different styles/audiences – i.e. high credibility at senior level (CEO, Finance etc) and also on site with site general managers etc
- CRM and quotation tool management, with clean and up-to-date market data
- Account administration (with office support where appropriate) – manage own diary to include but not limited to: Site visits, asset management, CAD designs (full training provided), customer service, install management, quotations.
- Research and feed back on market/segment trends
About You
- Proven experience in a national account management role, ideally comprising of high-value assets
- Experience in managing complex deals and selling solutions
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Sports & Exercise Science or equivalent – desirable but not essential
- Project management (methodologies and tools)
- High credibility at a senior level across C-suite executives, and also with on-site general managers. Adept at working with different styles/audiences to suit the business need or task in hand
- Direct sales and marketing techniques gained in a previous role with demonstrable relationship management, consultative selling and negotiation skills developed over time
- Strong CRM management knowledge (preferably Salesforce.com)
- Financial acumen and P&L management experience
- Exceptionally organised and able to deal calmly with high pressure situations and/or changing deadlines
- An expert in the fitness industry – highly desirable but not essential if candidate possesses strong account management/creating solutions/strategic thinking/relationship skills
- Knowledge of fitness product use and physiological benefits
- Social media, IT proficiency and digital skills
- Excellent listening, communication and presentation abilities
