Are you passionate about driving safety, sustainability, and compliance across diverse environments? Do you thrive on influencing positive cultural change and delivering excellence in QSHE standards? If so, we want you to join our team at Atlas Workplace Services as our new National SHE Manager.
This is a nationally based role with regular travel and occasional overnight stays, supporting our Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) department in delivering high-impact management services across our contracts.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the management of quality, safety, health, and environmental systems across the business
- Driving environmental and ESG initiatives, including sustainability audits and client reporting
- Advising on compliance with management systems and maintaining certifications through proactive auditing
- Acting as a QSHE subject matter expert for project works, especially those scoped under CDM
- Influencing and embedding QSHE culture change across managerial and operational levels
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on QSHE matters to ensure legal compliance and best practice
- Conduct internal audits aligned with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and other standards
- Develop and manage compliance audit processes, delivering accurate assessments of contract performance
- Maintain and update online management systems including audit tools, legal registers, and incident reporting platforms
- Lead or support investigations into incidents and non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Support contract mobilisations and transitions, embedding compliance frameworks from the outset
- Drive sustainability and ESG efforts through audits and operational support
- Assist with risk assessments and method statements for high-risk activities
- Prepare and present reports aligned with client and certification requirements
- Respond promptly to incidents, client requests, and compliance issues
- Support business continuity planning and client BCP exercises
About You
Qualifications & Training
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum 3 years post-qualification experience)
- Environmental/Sustainability qualification (e.g. IEMA Certificate, ISO14001 Lead Auditor)
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent
- Internal Auditor qualification in ISO27001
- Full UK Driving Licence
What You’ll Bring
- Experience supporting business contracts or professional functions
- Flexible and proactive approach to supporting wider business activities
- Strong knowledge of legislation and compliance in FM and/or construction
- Expertise in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 27001
- CDM compliance experience and project work knowledge
- Proven track record in sustainability and ESG initiatives
- Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel
- Professional, collaborative, and culturally aware mindset
- FM, M&E, and multi-site experience
