GMV is an experienced technology group, and we are seeking a talented Intermediate Navigation Algorithms Engineer to join our Algorithms and Positioning Services team in Nottingham. You will contribute to developing cutting-edge positioning solutions for autonomous platforms, such as driverless cars and drones. Your work will focus on high-accuracy satellite navigation systems, enhancing performance through mathematical algorithms and integration with sensors like vision-based, inertial, and quantum devices.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

We develop state-of-the-art solutions and algorithms that leverage novel technologies for high-performance, high-accuracy positioning. Our team-oriented culture drives our work.

You will be involved in all stages of software development, including requirements gathering, algorithm and system design, implementation, and validation, ensuring impactful end-to-end solutions.

The role also involves system performance evaluation and exploratory work on emerging technologies and innovative navigation applications.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for experts in Navigation with over 3 years of experience in:

• Geo-location positioning or navigation systems (e.g., GNSS)
• Mathematical techniques such as Weighted Least Squares estimation and Kalman filtering
• Precise Point Positioning (PPP), Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) algorithms
• Programming in C/C++, MATLAB, Python
• Algorithm design and documentation

We also value knowledge or experience in:

• Quantum-based technology and sensors
• Artificial Intelligence algorithms
• Non-GNSS sensors for navigation
• Mathematical background with experience in CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
