Navy Command- Eastern Area Sea Programmer

Overview
The Eastern area programmer, under direction of the Line Manager, will be responsible for scheduling all activity within the exercise areas. You will produce the Weekly Practice Programme (WPP) and allocate areas for serials and flying requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with administrative functions to include assisting other Line Managers within the department in the production and distribution of the Eastern WPP when required.
- Stand in for the Harbour Programmer during their absence.
- Liaise with Naval Air Stations and Joint Support Air Tasking Organisation (JSATO) to coordinate flying requirements to ensure the provision of suitable areas for fixed and rotary flying operations within the Eastern Exercise areas.
- Allocate suitable areas for hazardous activities, including raising appropriate NOTAMs or Notice to Fisherman.
- Allocate areas for serials within the Eastern Exercise areas ensuring safety requirements as laid down in MOD Policy.
- To programme Operational Sea Training (OST), Continuation Training (CT) and Operational, Training Assurance Period (OTAP) within the Eastern Exercise Areas.
- To programme Naval Equipment Trials within the Eastern Exercise Areas.
