Base pay range

Up to £55k + flexitime + strong benefits

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve software applications using C# and related technologies.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Debug and resolve software issues, optimize performance, and fix bugs.
  • Work closely with Designers, Testers, and Project Managers to deliver high-quality software.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
  • Follow Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Keep up-to-date with new technologies and best practices.
  • Document software design, code, and testing procedures.
  • Estimate project timelines and contribute to planning.
  • Engage with customers and end-users for requirements and support.
  • Assist in maintaining technical documentation, user manuals, and help systems.
  • Mentor junior developers and support their growth.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Akka.NET for building distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems
  • Solid understanding of OOP and design patterns.
  • Experience building Web Services, WebAPI, and WCF.
  • Familiarity with N-Tier architecture/SOA.
  • Performance optimisation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Unit and functional testing experience.
  • Confident using Git and source control practices.
  • Experience in Agile or Kanban environments.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and team collaboration.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and participate in releases/on-call as needed.

Qualifications

  • Commercial .NET and C# development experience.
  • Experience with Akka.NET and distributed systems is preferred.
