Network Design Engineer – Hybrid Defence role for PR-TY. Location: Birmingham, Basingstoke. Excellent opportunity to join a world-leading IT MSP and trusted partner to the U.K. MOD. You will design, implement and support medium-to-large scale network solutions.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Designing and implementing secure, scalable network solutions
  • Producing design documentation (HLDs, LLDs, network diagrams, support collateral)
  • Providing configuration, troubleshooting, and technical support
  • Supporting project lifecycles from requirements to design to deployment

What Were Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals: LAN, WAN, VPNs, IPSec, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper devices (switching, routing, firewalls)
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS-ENT (preferred, but not essential if you have equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrable design experience (HLDs/LLDs, diagrams, support documentation)
  • Solid troubleshooting and defect resolution skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders

Please note that, given the sector, these roles require high-level security clearance. Candidates must be eligible and willing to undertake clearance if not currently held.
