Overview

Palo Alto - Network Security Engineer. Contract - outside IR35. Hybrid - Central London - Moorgate nearest tube.

We're looking for an experienced Palo Alto - Network Security Engineer to support their Operational Data Networks team and lead the implementation & migration phase of a critical project. You’ll work alongside architects and engineers across Cyber Security, Cloud Infrastructure (CNI), and RDS to deliver a smooth transition from legacy systems to their new NetOps AnyConnect / StrongDM solution.

Responsibilities

• Lead user migrations and implementation activities across NetOps StrongDM.
• Collaborate with architects (network, cyber security, RDS, cloud) and wider engineering teams.
• Configure and troubleshoot Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Juniper/Cisco switches (VLANs, routing, VPNs).
• Ensure compliance with cyber security policies and change management processes.
• Onboard users, manage access requests, and update operational documentation.

Qualifications

• Certification: Juniper JNCS/JNCP, Cisco CCSP/CCNP, Palo Alto PCCSA - or equivalent experience.
• Strong expertise in Palo Alto, Panorama, Cisco ASA, VPNs (SSL/IPSec), and dynamic routing.
• Hands-on experience with Juniper/Cisco switching (VLANs, LAG, trunking).
• Desirable: PAM solutions, Wireshark, ServiceNow.
• Strong communicator, self-starter, and team player with excellent documentation skills.
