MKJ Ignite are thrilled to be partnering with a bold, purpose-driven brand shaking up the wellness space with sustainable, cheeky products. With a strong D2C and retail presence across the UK and US, they’re on the hunt for a NPD Manager superstar to lead the charge on product innovation. This role is all about owning the product development journey from concept to launch. You’ll be the go-to expert for everything technical, managing timelines, suppliers, compliance, and making sure every product is commercially sound and operationally feasible.
What will you be doing:
- Leading the end-to-end NPD and EPD process—from first spark to production handover
- Owning product briefs and technical input across all launches
- Managing the NPD stage-gate process and keeping projects on time, in full, and on budget
- Coordinating packaging artwork and legal sign-off with precision
- Sourcing new materials and manufacturing partners aligned with brand and sustainability standards
- Negotiating timelines, MOQs, and costs to hit COGS targets
- Ensuring compliance across markets (UK, US, EU) and substantiating product claims
- Creating product passports and prepping internal teams for flawless launches
- Leading special projects like limited editions and branded merchandise
What skills do you need to have to be considered?
- 4+ years’ experience in NPD or product development, ideally in FMCG or personal care
- Proven track record of launching products on time and on budget
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational prowess
- Supplier negotiation skills and sourcing savvy
- Deep understanding of product compliance, testing, and sustainability claims
- A balance of creativity and commercial awareness
