Non-Technical Engineering Manager — Location: London & Manchester (2-3 days a month in the office).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing and mentoring engineers, helping them set and meet meaningful goals.
  • Ensuring team members receive timely feedback and are supported in their growth.
  • Leading effective hiring and onboarding for your teams.
  • Supporting hybrid working practices and fostering psychological safety.
  • Collaborating with peers across Product, Delivery, and Engineering to drive improvement.
  • Shaping inclusive hiring processes and career development structures.
  • Championing a values-driven and transparent work culture.

Requirements

  • Has experience managing engineers in software teams.
  • Is skilled in coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  • Has an ability to scale technical teams.
  • Enjoys helping others grow and develop their careers.
  • Can quickly grasp technical contexts and advocate for team needs.
