Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Managing the end-to-end process of new product development for your projects, from shaping and testing concepts through to successful product launch, championing excellence at every stage of the product journey.
• Shaping clear project briefs covering insight, design, pricing, packaging, value and volume metrics, cost of goods and distribution strategies, with storytelling at the heart.
• Leading projects through the stage-gate process with clear communication and cross-functional inputs and alignment, flagging risks, solutions and recommendations, presenting at the monthly Innovation SLT meeting.
• Managing key stakeholders with consistent communication to internal and external parties, leading meetings and providing regular updates to the Head of Innovation on timelines, progress, and risks or challenges.
• Working cross-functionally with commercial and brand teams to share insights and data, ensuring market relevance and seamless handovers to execution. Partnering with a project manager to keep projects on track and manage risk.
• Budget ownership and P&L for your project at the stage gates, ensuring scalability and margin accretive projects; overseeing the project budget to meet financial goals.
• Developing a deep understanding of consumers and healthy hair, leveraging insights to create new products and staying up to date with competitor launches, industry innovations and emerging trends.

What we are looking for

Must have: You will be working directly on Innovation rather than NPD project management.

• You will be passionate about innovation and results-driven, relentlessly tenacious, with a can-do attitude and end-to-end thinking.
• High accountability with the ability to deliver strong proposals with long-term commercial viability.
• Excellent collaboration and influencing skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; global experience is an advantage.
• Creative and strategic mindset with attention to detail and the ability to turn trends into tangible, market-ready products.
• Financially astute with experience sizing opportunities, working through P&L and presenting metrics.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
