About the Role

Nottingham Schools Trust is a private company limited by guarantee. It was established in 2017 and has been commissioned since then to support school improvement in NCC maintained primary and special schools (31). There are also 2 standalone academies who benefit from the school improvement programme. The organisation is in a period of transition and there is an exciting time ahead as the organisation evolves to best support the schools in the NST in learning from research and collaboration from within our organisation and external specialism too.

As a group of schools, we want to collaborate on supporting school improvement through building on efficiencies within the trust to best support every child attending our schools in a challenging financial landscape. As such we are seeking someone who can work under their own initiative to support senior leaders within our school settings in evaluating the quality of our services and processes so that we align best value and economies across the NST.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is efficient, a strong communicator and wants to be part of supporting the NST vision of school improvement that is "Run for schools, by schools." We want to champion the children of Nottingham City - celebrate the diversity that exists amongst our school communities and enable staff in every setting to collaborate effectively to sustain improvement impacting on the life chances of pupils. The NST is built on the concept of collaboration rather than competition and there are well-established networks and systems which support the cycle of school improvement that currently exists. The successful applicant would work alongside the Managing Director of the Nottingham Schools Trust (NST) to initiate and deliver a range of school improvement projects and programmes and would be critical in maintaining the success of our unique collaborative.
