Overview

Office Administrator and Finance Support Associate — Renewable Connections (Rivington Energy). The role combines office administration with accounting support to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with financial regulations. This position offers entry-level experience in bookkeeping and company secretarial record-keeping within the Investment and Renewables sectors.

Key Office Responsibilities

  • Office Administration: liaising with suppliers, managing equipment leases, and office provisions
  • Post management and distribution: collation, scanning, and forwarding to relevant team members
  • Travel management: booking hotels and travel for team members according to Group policy
  • Coordination of office events and meetings: invitations, setup, and offsite meeting coordination
  • Inbox management: ownership and management of enquiries
  • Ad hoc tasks: supporting team members with presentations, newsletter layout (using Mailchimp) and website updates (using WordPress or Divi)

Key Finance Support Responsibilities

  • Financial record-keeping: maintain accurate records including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger entries
  • Management of payment inbox: verify and process invoices, ensure PO matching, liaise with operational teams
  • Head office expense processing: assist with uploading to Xero and approval of central costs
  • Employee expense reporting and management: assist in preparing expense reports in line with company policies
  • Bank reconciliation: perform regular reconciliations and file bank statements
  • Incorporation and management of new entities preparing to trade, including statutory and tax registration and bank account management
  • Ad hoc projects: participate in special projects as directed by senior finance personnel

Education and Skills

  • Education: Recent school-leaver with at least 3 A-levels (grade B or above), or graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent
  • Prioritisation: diligent, responsible, able to work autonomously with or without daily supervision
  • Knowledge: strong numerical skills, attention to detail, proactive interest in renewables, financial services and sustainable investing
  • IT: good Excel and Word skills
  • Accounting exposure: some experience or use of accounting software preferred
