Role Summary and Impact: We are looking for a diligent OOH Senior Associate Director with extensive experience in OOH planning and a strong understanding of how OOH fits into the wider media system. You will work across three internal Business Units, report to an OOH Director, and help ensure the smooth running of the team and delivery of client guarantees. You will collaborate with the OOH team using an agile approach to manage resources across Business Groups.
Responsibilities
- Own the client OOH relationship and act as an OOH expert with an authoritative view on plans and the wider media market.
- Collaborate with clients and Business Directors to uncover business opportunities beyond ongoing media planning/buying, focusing on OOH-specific opportunities and connected system planning.
- Educate clients and provide thought leadership; develop a deep understanding of clients’ objectives and problems.
- Manage the relationship between GroupM Outdoor and EssenceMediaCom on behalf of clients, with strong commercial acumen to manage Mars and Coca-Cola targets.
- Lead and develop the OOH team, working with Directors to shape the team and provide direction for OOH specialists.
What you will need
- Detailed knowledge of the wider business and the role of each division within EssenceMediacom.
- High degree of commercial awareness, including budgeting, fees, and resource allocation.
- Ability to identify key issues, develop win/win solutions, and challenge ideas while maintaining relationships.
- Strong interpersonal skills, composure under pressure, and the ability to turn around difficult situations.
- Questioning mindset with the ability to motivate and lead by example.
- Multi-media understanding and how OOH integrates with other media in client plans.
- Knowledge of industry media planning tools (Route, Aureus, Space, etc.) and implementational tools (TGI, Media Multiplier, Touchpoints).
