We are seeking an Operational Due Diligence (ODD) Associate Analyst to join our team in London. This role is ideal for an early-career professional interested in alternative investments and operational risk identification.
In this role, you will receive on-the-job training in the assessment of non-investment operational risks within investment managers' businesses and prepare written research reports for clients. You will also be at the forefront of the AI transition by assisting with transformation of the function. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and highly experienced team and gain exposure to a wide range of fund structures and strategies within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Job Summary & Purpose:
This position is designed to help you build the foundation needed to progress to Analyst level. As an Associate Analyst, you will play a key dual role: actively supporting the ODD Analysts in their operational due diligence work while developing your own analytical skills through our on-the-job training program. You’ll assist with research, documentation, and coordination tasks that contribute to the team’s success, gaining hands-on exposure to the analyst workflow.
Accountabilities:
As an Operational Due Diligence Associate Analyst, you will:
- Participate in onsite interviews with fund managers to discuss operational risks, internal controls and information systems. Contribute to these meetings and prepare clear and concise written reports.
- Proactively conduct ongoing monitoring updates with fund managers.
- Review and interpretation of financial statements, offering documents, and other fund literature. Upon that review and interpretation, produce research deliverables for clients within the scheduled deadline.
- Conduct reference checks with service providers for completion of the relevant reports.
- Ensure client deliverables are prepared, reviewed, and delivered on a timely and accurate basis.
- Provide general support to the operational due diligence team as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues across teams and regions.
- Become an active idea contributor to client newsletter and internal intranet.
- Ensure information within internal database is kept up to date and current.
- Participate in project work to support the due diligence process and broader company initiatives.
Other Requirements:
- Strong academic background
- Two years of work experience in the Alternatives Investments Industry
- Willing to study for the CAIA or CFA qualification
- High level of writing proficiency
- Experience of report writing
- Proactive and enthusiastic
- Good time management and multi-tasking
- Professional demeanour and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel overseas as required
- Comply with terms of Albourne Compliance Manuals
- Attend company events as requested

- Discretionary bonus
- Life insurance
- Tax-efficient benefits (cycle to work, season ticket loan, private medical insurance)
